Great show made even better by a fantastic crowd! UK wrestling fans proved tonight that they are the best in the world!!!
Asuka vs Emma was a fantastic match. Great storytelling and I was invested like crazy the whole match! Asuka got the win and now I think she moves on to face Bayley next!!
Speaking of Bayley, we got to see her beat the powerhouse Nia Jax to retain her title. I think it was a solid match. Nia Jax made some mistakes here and there but overall it was good. She really dominated Bayley and is a very promising talent. Considering that was her first NXT Takeover, she looked good. I really like what she brings as a female monster heel to the NXT roster..
The Tag Team Championship match had me on the edge of my seat. I really thought Enzo and Cass would walk out with the belts. Dash and Dawson retained and it was probably the right call as it gave them tremendous heat with the crowd. I really think Enzo and Cass are moving up soon to face off with the New Day!!!
Apollo Crews vs Baron Corbin was a solid match. Could have went either way but WWE continues to build Corbin up as a monster heel. I am assuming they have big plans for him in the future... Maybe vs Balor next?
Finn Balor retained against Samoa Joe.. It was another fantastic match to close the show. I really thought Joe would win to keep the feud alive but Balor retained. Loved the Jack the Ripper theme that Balor sported, looked incredible.
Overall it was a great show and I really enjoyed it!
