Dave Meltzer is one of, if not the most famous wrestling reporters in the world. You can check him out at the Wrestling Observer. Here's what he has to say about the current WWE product.
@TheJimCornette @SethHanson1982 @fuanku @Fgbrisco With the exception of mid-90s, wrestling now least popular in my lifetime.— Dave Meltzer (@davemeltzerWON) November 23, 2015
Not a good sign for the WWE when Meltzer tells us wrestling is at the lowest peak of popularity in his decades of covering it. I think the injuries are definitely not helping the WWE's case. Their world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins goes down with a big knee injury which forces them to either put the title on Roman Reigns (who the fans are split on) or Sheamus (Who is no considered a top guy). Kind of a bad scenario to be in right now. For a company that should be worried about their popularity with Sheamus as champion, last night's RAW didn't leave me thinking they have any urgency. Just an average RAW when they needed to keep viewers. Seeing on twitter that a lot of fans are simply not watching until the Royal Rumble and last night's RAW won't make them turn the TV back on..
