BANKS/LYNCH IS DEMONSTRATION ON WHY WE NEED TO #GIVEDIVASACHANCE

I think if you are a long time viewer of NXT, you were probably feeling the exact same way as Triple H after the match between Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch at NXT Takeover: Unstoppable. Sure we are only fans , but the NXT women's division is exactly what women's' wrestling should be and it's hard not to feel proud after the hell of a match they put on. These two females demonstrated to everyone watching that women in wrestling don't have to be looked at as strictly eye candy or the match before the main event. These women proved, with my opinion the best match of the night, that they can steal the show. And that's what they did last night, stole the show. Even after the historic (and amazing) debut of Samoa Joe, a guy who has been much sought after, the talk of the night was still focused on how great of a match Banks and Lynch put on.

As many readers know, #GiveDivasAChance a few months ago spread like wildfire after the current Divas on the main roster received very little ring time during Monday Night Raw. Vince and the WWE claimed that we should wait and see because changes are coming. Though progress was made, still female wrestlers are branded 'Divas' and the WWE is heavily male centered. I think this match last night showed us that women in wrestling deserve to lose the title of 'Diva' and be respected as the strong female characters they are. Banks and Lynch, along with Bayley, Charlotte and Emma. show us that NXT is full of strong females who can steal the show. Hopefully the way that Triple H has been showcasing his women as main event talent in NXT translates as the women are brought up to the main roster. Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks last night was a strong demonstration of why women in wrestling should garner a lot more respect.
