Yesterday we broke a massive story about the WWE possibly signing top NJPW stars: Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows. This was confirmed through a story from reputable source the Wrestling Observer.
There was an interesting development today during NJPW's follow up show to Wrestle Kingdom 10. According to Puroresuspirit.net, The Bullet Club turned their backs on AJ Styles during the event, firing him from the group and as the leader. If you are unfamiliar with the Bullet Club, it is a faction that exists in NJPW and was being lead by AJ Styles. Bullet Club member Kenny Omega orchestrated the attack and looks to be taking over as the new leader. It is also worth noting that Omega pinned Shinsuke Nakamura on the same night, setting him up as the next challenger for Nakamura's title.
What does this mean? NJPW moved pretty quickly in removing AJ Styles as leader of the Bullet Club. I am not going to say 100% AJ Styles to WWE/NXT is confirmed, but this development certainly gives us a good indication! Also, they set up Kenny Omega vs Shinsuke Nakamura for the title, which could mean Nakamura dropping the belt and heading over!
