Paige recently did an interview with Sports Illustrated. She was asked if she wanted the Divas Championship to be renamed the Women's Championship:
"Everyone wants it to be the Women’s Championship but I like the fact its called Divas because it separates us from the rest of the crowd. If someone says, “Hey, you’re a diva,” people instantly know you’re in WWE. At first, I was all about Women’s Championship, but I like the fact it’s just us. This is our baby. I was surprised reading Paige's response. I thought most divas were on board with switching to the Women's Championship. She does make a good point that everyone relates diva with WWE but I still think the butterfly belt and the word doesn't do female wrestlers justice. I think the Women's Championship gives the division some legitimacy.
