WrestlingInc.com is reporting that Dean Ambrose is the new #1 contender for Kevin Owen's Intercontinental championship (Source). Ambrose defeated Tyler Breeze and Dolph Ziggler on Smackdown this week in a triple threat match,
I understand people are going to be frustrated because they want Ambrose in the main event picture and more specifically the WWE title picture. I on the other hand think this is going to be fantastic and here's why:
Owens and Ambrose are both super talented guys that the crowd loves... They are incredible in the ring and no doubt will have a great match together. Since it is the TLC PPV, they could make it a ladder match for KO's title... I think adding a ladder match between Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose on your card for TLC is going to make a lot of fans happy.
I also think this is a good for both Ambrose and Owens. The #1 contenders match was the main event of Smackdown, so make this feud the main event of Smackdown every week. This will influence more fans to check out Smackdown because they love both guys.. They can still do stuff and progress the feud on RAW every week but make Smackdown involved too.
I am on board for this match and hopefully Ambrose wins the belt so they can continue this feud past TLC!!!
