We have recently mentioned, Charlotte's mother was not happy about the RAW segment mentioning her late son Reid (Story). Most fans arguments when defending the segment was that it must have been given the OK from Charlotte and Ric Flair.
On his most recent podcast WOOOO NATION!! Flair addressed the issue by saying:
He also mentioned that he thinks Charlotte went along with the idea because she has only been on the main roster a couple months and was worried about her spot. Check out WOOO Nation for his full comments!
WOW... Very shocked to hear Ric Flair's side of the story here. I was in the party that assumed that Flair would have given the thumbs up for this angle due to his relationship with everyone backstage. To hear that he wasn't even called after it happened is very shocking. I think it's a pretty bad move for the WWE to bring up such a sensitive subject on live television and not even consult the parents.
It also makes sense that Charlotte went through with this because she was worried about her spot on the main roster and maybe was afraid to say no. You could tell the emotions she was dealing with were real when she broke down on RAW. I understand fans want to go back to the Attitude Era ways of doing things but I just think mentioning her late brother without parental consent is wrong. What do you think about the isse? "Obviously I have an opinion but I'm afraid to voice it because I don't want anything to affect Ashley's career"
"I never heard a word about it, I started crying while I was watching it, nope nobody has called me and no one has called me today"
