Dave Meltzer on the November 29th edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, talks about his doubts about Bayley being used correctly on the main roster:
"I am convinced now that if Bayley went to the main roster it would just be so sad, it's just not going to work, I think the potential is there for it to work, I think she has more potential to be a babyface more than anyone, but I'm just watching this, and it's just like they can't get anyone over, because Bayley can lose a lot of matches unlike over people and still get over, but the thing is she's not going to get over instantaneously, it's going to have to be a long drawn out process to get her over, and they'll kill her and give up on her before they ever get close to that, it's just sad, it's the sad reality of it"
I think Dave's comments tell the story about the current WWE product. He doubts the main roster could get Bayley over, even though she is one of the most popular females (if not the most) in NXT history. Fans love her, she can wrestle fantastic matches and is so fun to watch. She has potential to be a female version of Cena where all of the kids absolutely love her.
I agree with what Dave says though, as WWE has the reputation on wanting quick results and may not wait long enough for Bayley to be introduced properly. It's a strange period in wrestling when sometimes a promotion to the main roster for a talent can feel like a demotion.
