Kevin Owens has been on a bit of a losing streak lately. Losing his NXT title to Finn Balor and the last two match-ups against John Cena (putting on fantastic matches in losing efforts I must add). Cesaro on the other hand has been pretty hot lately momentum wise, rising from a Tag Team competitor to now a singles star (Due to Tyson Kidds injury). He has recently garnered a lot of fan support and seems like he could be in the middle of a strong push up the card.
To me, this match has show stealing ability. It is going to be early in the card likely, but I think with the talent these two have, they will set the bar high with an early match of the night. Kevin Owens and Cesaro are both fantastic wrestling talents. No doubt in my mind that if they are given enough time, we will see a PHENOMENAL match. I might be a bit biased because I am a massive fan of both of these guys and know what they can do. Owens will be coming off of a Ladder Match the night BEFORE at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn, so it will be interesting to see how much that wears on his body.
For a prediction, this one is actually quite tough. Fans of Owens feel like he is being buried because he has lost his last couple matches. So, initially my gut tells me Owens gets a win here to get him back on track after such an amazing first few months. Looking at the other side of the coin, Cesaro has been red hot this past month and the WWE brass finally might have seen something in him to push him up the card. He has recently been given more screen time and even featured in exclusive WWE interviews playing him up as a contender. My prediction is that this match steals the show, Cesaro gets the win and stays red hot....Owens continues to fall.
